  • The student needs to create an account and complete the online visa application form
  • Once the visa application is complete the following documents must be uploaded

online:

  • Copy of first and last page of passport.
  • A completed questionnaire (Form 105031W_A for a first-time applicant)
  • A written consent from parents/custodian if student is under 18 years of age (Form 123011)
  • Swedish Institutions would be providing health insurance cover which is specifiedDecision Letter (Offer Letter) and Acceptance Letter from the University in Sweden.
  • Payment receipt of the initial tuition fees deposit.
  • Financial Documents
  • Swedish Institutions would be providing health insurance cover which is specified in the Offer letter and included in the fees. However, the student should purchase health insurance for the period of travel and up to the point of  enrolment at the institution in Sweden.

  • Bank balance certificate and statements of savings account of the last three months. The balance certificate should be on the Letter head of the bank with the phone number and email address, for the embassy to verify the details.
  • The funds should not be withdrawn till the visa decision is made.The student has to show funds in his/her savings account only. Joint accounts / FDs / Loan sanction letters are not allowed. However, loans disbursed into the student’s savings account may be considered.
  • Recent funds are also acceptable in Sweden.
  • The applicant should be able to show an amount of SEK 9450 per month towards expenses of living and accommodation. If an applicant intends to study for 12 months, the student must have SEK 113400 (12 x SEK 9450).For 18 months, the student must have SEK 170100 (18 x SEK 9450) and for 24 months the student must have SEK 226800 (24 x SEK 9450). (1SEK = INR 7-8 approximately).

International students are required to obtain a Study Permit before going to Canada. The student can apply for Study permit under the Student Partners Program (SPP) of the Association of Canadian Community Colleges and the Canadian Immigration Programs in New Delhi and Chandigarh. To qualify for Study Permit Application under SPP the student should hold an unconditional offer letter from one of the universities / colleges that are included under this scheme. SPP is currently open to Indian nationals only. Allow atleast two months for your Visa to be processed.

  •  After submission of the form and payment of visa fees online, schedule an appointment by calling or emailing the Embassy of Sweden at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The details are provided as below:

  • Please check for any holidays during these days before visiting the Embassy
  • The student has to carry the Passport and all documents in original for verification. Biometrics (fingerprints) and a brief interview will be taken at the Embassy.
  • Visa decision will be received in one to three months and the Residence Card is usually delivered directly to the student’s mailing address.
